Windows 8 只有三個版本：Windows 8、Windows 8 Pro 和 Windows 8 RT Apr 17th 2012, 03:01 看來之前說 Windows 8 會有八個版本果然是誤傳（呼～）。根據今天 Windows Team Blog 貼出來的資料，Windows 8 只會有三個版本，分別是一般人用的「Windows 8」、對應 Professional 版的「Windows 8 Pro」和 ARM 版的「Windows 8 RT」 Windows 8 是基本款，和過去的分級最主的分別是語言切換功能的下放 -- 這對常玩日本遊戲的朋友來說應該是個好消息吧！大部份的 Windows 8 都將直接內建多國語言，所以以後就沒有買哪國版的 Windows 8 的問題，不過針對新興市場（有提到中國大陸）會推出僅搭載當地語言的版本就是了。Windows 8 Pro 則是增加了加密、虛擬化、PC 管理等企業功能。有趣的是，Media Center 變成一個另購的「超值包」，只能裝在 Windows 8 Pro 版本上。Windows RT（這名字來自 Windows Runtime，或 WinRT）則是在 ARM 上跑的版本，最主要的區別是出廠就內建了觸控優化的 Word、Excel、PowerPoint 和 OneNote，但卻沒有 Windows Media Player。 不論如何，微軟決定開倒車讓 Windows 版本一下減少到三個（扣掉 ARM 版專用的 RT，實際上是兩個）是相當令人驚喜的事，相信對 Windows 8 的推廣有非常正面的幫助。再來，就是平板模式和桌面模式的不協調要怎麼辦的問題了...
