Olympus 將裁員 2,700 人，將專注於盈利業務 Jun 8th 2012, 12:45 在掩蓋 17 億美元虧損的醜聞打擊下，Olympus 決定對企業進行重組，他們接下來將裁員 2,700 人（約占全球員工數的 7%）而且會在未來的兩年內出售未使用過的資產並關閉在菲律賓的工廠。另外 Olympus 還將重新把發展目標放到能夠盈利的業務之上，包括影像、醫療、生命科學等部門（之前傳聞 Panasonic 感興趣的也正是那些業務，但現在他們否認了注資 Olympus 的說法）。
