Android Google Earth 程式已升上 6.2 版，支援 KML 檔等新功能，iOS 再等一下 Mar 17th 2012, 03:05 Google 宣布旗下 Android 的 Google Earth 程式已經升上 6.2 版本，而目前為 6.1 版的 iOS Google Earth 則會遲一點才升級。說到新功能方面，兩個平台都將會像桌面版本一樣支援 KML 檔，能在程式內瀏覽來自網頁及 Google Earth Gallery 等第三方的地圖資訊；同時導航功能都將會得到改善。另外身為 Google 親生兒子的 Android 當然會得到一些獨有的新功能，例如像桌面版本那樣將拍下的地圖截圖透過 Google+ 及 Email 等程式分享。不過要留意的是，中港台三地的 Apple App Store 仍然是沒有 Google Earth 下載的，想要的話，可以（在 6.2 推出後）到美加等地的 App Store 下載，但前題就是擁有當地的帳戶；至於使用 Android 的朋友，現在已經可以到第三個引用來源的 Google Play 下載囉。
